Amy is an experienced educator with over 12 years of experience as a primary teacher, science lead, and senior leader in UK primary schools. She spent eight years as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Science Education at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, where she supported the next generation of teachers in developing strong foundations in science pedagogy.
Following a year as a Lecturer in Curriculum and Pedagogy in Australia, Amy is now an Adjunct Researcher in Science Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of the Sunshine Coast and an advisor for the Australian Academy of Science Education. Her research focuses on science, STEM, and climate change education, with a strong emphasis on ensuring practical, classroom-level impact.
Amy has worked in partnership with the Natural History Museum and the Department for Education in England as part of the National Education Nature Park project. She is deeply passionate about social justice, sustainability, and climate change education, and is committed to embedding these themes meaningfully within the science curriculum.
