About me
With a background as a secondary school science teacher, Peter has spent the past 30 contributing to major education policy initiatives, including the conception, development and establishment of the Science Learning Centres (now STEM Learning) during his time at the Wellcome Trust. He leads the work of the policy team at the Royal Society whose work includes seeking reform of the mathematical and data education, a science education for all young people, and an increasing interest on the role of education in addressing challenges to science in an age of AI. His team’s work at The Royal Society aims to secure an education for excellence across all STEM subjects for all young people, extending pathways to opportunity and empowering all citizens through establishing the foundations of scientific and data literacy.
